My apartment building was hit by lightening today. I swear to god. At first I thought it was just close, but it was so unbelievably loud that I screamed. My smoke detectors all started beeping and all the fire alarms went off for like 20 minutes. I think it short circuited them for a minute. When I turned on my wii (to watch netflix instant—my savior from boredom) the TV was full of stripes. The Wii turns on and seems to be doing it’s things, but the stripes are there as long as the video cable (the yellow plug) is plugged in. I’ve had to do the three minute turn off thing a few times before (after power outages) but this is different. Also, I did it and nothing happened. I guess I have to replace the audio/video cord that goes from the TV to the Wii. Anyone have this happen before?
