It was weird though. I got the most responsible gift of my life (a Triple A membership, which makes me and my boyfriend feel safer because I’m an idiot when it comes to cars), and the least responsible: a gift certificate for a new tattoo! Eee! I’ve wanted a tattoo for about three years…who am I kidding? I’ve wanted one since my first one.
I have the text picked out, I’m working on an appropriate image. I don’t want to chicken out and get something text-based again. It’s going to be on my back, so what the hell. I’m going to get an image, color…this could get expensive.
I went out with my two girlfriends (I hate that term, but whatev) for sushi yesteryday, which was incredible. Drove home as the sun was setting, which takes longer in North Carolina, I swear..there are hours of twilight here in the summer. I was listening to the new Band of Horses album (super good!) and I felt so….settled. With my self. Which is a version of happy, I think.
I think this year is going to be good.
