This is similar to what we do. Like today, our cat chases my boyfriend’s laces as he ties his shoes, so he (the boy) always says something about Hank being the “lace inspector.” Then it spirals into Hank saying things about “union rules” and “I don’t write ‘em, I just enforce ‘em,” or “Just trying to keep everyone safe,” etc etc.
